Getting ready to go!

Well, one week to go be before I set sail on my Uniworld Rhine River Cruise and of course the biggest question is what to pack?? When I got my documents, it basically said I need a bit of everything, which is tough for me as I like to travel light. As always, shoes are the problem. On a river cruise, there is lots of sightseeing, walking and touring, so comfortable walking shoes are a must - thank God for my Naots! However, also included on the trip are Captain's dinners, gala evenings and night out at a schloss, so I guess heels will have be a part of my life for a change.
Most airlines now only permit one checked in bag for international travel, which is fine, but so long as I have room for my Pixie travel hoop, then all will be well. I can't imagine going for two weeks without hooping!
I have to admit, I am very excited to go on my first river cruise and particularly the SS Antoinette, one of the newest and most deluxe ships on the river. It even has a small swimming pool on board! Plus the opportunity to sample some fine Alsatian wines is sounding better every day as I get closer to going and the pre travel organisation heats up.
